Detailed separation is for a generated song that you want to develop beyond its finished stereo mix. This mode provides twelve named groups: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, synth, strings, percussion, brass, woodwinds, effects and other. It is useful when the arrangement contains several families that a smaller split would combine. You might want to hear how a string layer supports the chorus, compare percussion against the drum kit, or decide whether a transition is carried by the synth or effects group. This mode is available for generated songs only; an uploaded audio file cannot be submitted to twelve-track separation. The track names are musical categories and do not promise twelve active instruments in every song. A sparse arrangement may produce quiet or nearly empty groups, while a layered sound can leave traces in several outputs. Begin with the part you intend to change and listen alongside the related groups before editing. Preserve the timing of downloaded files in your editor, then make small balance decisions in context. If your source is an upload, choose four or six stems, or target a particular instrument with its dedicated separation mode.
