TUNENOODLE / Create for a specific occasion

AI game music generator

Create original exploration, farming, combat and boss music with six detailed prompts, official soundtrack references and practical listening checks.

Create music

Occasion

Score what the player is doing: settling into a camp, reading a recipe, surviving an encounter or confronting a particular enemy. Explore six games: four selected from our Steam Most Played snapshot, plus Elden Ring and the PS5 game Astro Bot. The Steam snapshot ranks current players, not music quality, and does not rank all six examples. Adaptive-music research supports testing the connection between events and musical choices, but does not establish a universal winning style. Explore the official references, choose an original brief below, then audition your generated audio inside the actual scene.

01

Occasion

Name one state and its entry and exit: quiet exploration, crafting, combat or a boss phase. Include what happens if the player stays longer than expected.

02

Audience and purpose

Specify the game perspective and listening conditions. A solo farming scene and a co-op firefight compete with different speech, actions and warning sounds.

03

Voice arrangement

These six briefs use instrumental music. If a character needs a song, write original lyrics separately and plan when dialogue or attack cues must remain audible.

04

Structure and delivery

Give each instrument a job and describe an intensity curve. Tempo, bars and loop intentions guide generation; measure and edit the resulting audio before implementation.

Learn game scoring from popular games

These are reference soundtracks made for the original games, not Tunenoodle outputs. The table separates documented musical choices from our proposed applications. Each prompt below creates an original direction rather than requesting an existing melody, lyric or performer.

Elden Ring

FromSoftware · official soundtrack

Elden Ring

Composer Tsukasa Saitoh describes an epic, resilient musical direction, recorded with a full orchestra and singers. The title theme was designed to motivate players as they begin their adventure.

Give a boss encounter a dramatic identity: establish its weight, hold something back, then let the returning theme mark rising stakes.

01 · Instrumental

Nordic camp and trail

A quiet mountain camp gives way to a curious walk. Rock gently in 6/8, dotted-quarter about 52 BPM, D Dorian. Nylon guitar carries the trail; clarinet offers an original short reply and bowed bass places only sparse roots. Start with guitar alone, let clarinet join for two eight-bar phrases, then return to that opening texture. Instrumental Nordic chamber-folk, warm and spacious, no percussion. Leave breaths between phrases and an open ending for a possible loop edit.

Why this works as a brief
Why this works as a brief
Valheim’s official notes distinguish gentle biome music from metal-oriented danger cues. This new chamber-folk brief gives the camp breathing room: guitar supports motion, clarinet carries short responses, and bass only anchors the space. Its meter and tempo are our design choices.
What to change
For a misty path, change only clarinet to low flute and warm to uneasy first. Keep the density and pace targets so you can judge whether the darker colour already does enough.
What to listen for
Play footsteps, gathering sounds and team speech alongside the result. Test an edit at matching harmonic points three times; listen for pulse, harmony and reverb continuity, not just a click-free waveform.
Edit in the music creator

Examples use complete English music descriptions; vocal language follows the page language. Tempo, meter, phrases and range are targets to check by listening. Add personal names and full lyrics separately in custom mode.

The button prefills the brief and instrumental option. Edit before generating; verify timing and structure by listening and editing afterward.

How to use it

  1. 01

Choose one of the six briefs and replace the setting with your own. Keep a clear division between pulse, melody and accents. Change one variable per revision so you can hear what helped.

  2. 02

Generate candidates and audition them against gameplay or a representative recording. Compare at similar perceived loudness. Check dense action and quiet waiting, not only the most exciting moment.

  3. 03

Trim the selected cue, test repeated playback and record the actual tempo and duration. Implement state changes and transitions in your engine or audio middleware; generated tracks do not supply that logic.

Know the boundaries

A static track can sound dynamic without reacting to a player. Generating two pieces separately does not guarantee matching tempo, key, motif or phase. In the cited fighting-game study, musical layers carried state information to an audio-only AI agent; it was not evidence of improved human performance. Treat this page as music drafting and evaluation, then implement interactive behaviour separately.

Good questions

No. Tunenoodle produces audio candidates. An open ending and stable texture can make a loop edit easier, but you must check bar alignment, harmony and tail overlap. Music that reacts to health, location or combat needs events, layer control and transitions in the game engine or middleware. Separate generations are not automatically compatible stems.
